Entry Level Opportunities

Sous Chef
 

Reports to and takes direction from the Executive Chef, and assists in the overall management of all kitchen operations, including oversight of full and part-time staff and all aspects of food production management.

Chef
 

Responsible for food production in a food service operation. Additional responsibilities may include: supervising a staff of hourly associates; food inventory and ordering; conducting culinary training; managing the kitchen.

Chef Manager
 

Supervises cooks and oversees food preparation. Responsible for: maintaining kitchen and storage facilities; food purchasing; cash management; staff hiring and training. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis.

Unit Leadership Opportunities

Executive Chef
 

Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Develops menu, provides training, purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, and manages food costs.

General Manager
 

Manages and operates all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Actively participates in the daily functions of the unit. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations, senior most person assigned to one client account.

Area General Manager
 

Directs all contract management service operations at a single unit and provides additional resources to multiple accounts in the area. Assists District Manager, while supporting and mentoring General Managers in respective area of responsibility.

Regional Leadership Opportunities

Culinary Systems Analyst
 

Assists in the development of menu planning tools for the field, while serving as the project manager. Supports the rollout and implementation of the new menu programs, including train-the-trainer content. Assists with nutrient analysis of recipes and unit menus and the input, data checking or report generation of recipes and menus.

Manager of Nutrition & Menu
 

Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Sodexo master recipe, ingredient, menu and nutrient database. Ensures continuity and accuracy of recipe, inventory, menu, costing and nutrient data.

Area Executive Chef
 

Provides culinary leadership and expertise for a geographic area. Assists with menu and recipe development, training culinary staff, and special functions.

Senior Manager of Culinary Development
 

Member of the Culinary Board. Responsible for all recipe development of new concepts and programs, as well as training of unit staff and managers in marketing and implementing the programs.

Culinary Area Support Manager
 

Serves as a subject matter expert on standards and practices for food production, delivery and culinary services. Works with operations constituents in areas relating to financial management, people management, account development, and account operations. Supports the implementation of new unit openings, including the development and administration of training plans.

District Manager
 

Serves as the primary representative of Sodexo for multiple accounts in a designated geographic area. Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned geographic area through subordinate managers, supervisors and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development.

Vice President
 

Responsible for strategic and business planning and management for a specific geography within a Division. Provides leadership and direction for all business aspects within the assigned geography including account operations, growth, and retention, staff development and training, and financial growth and accountability.
